I was just wondering when I watched this; how do cats seem to know if the table/counter/desk above them has a space for them to land? It’s not usually the case that they’ve seen the top. Once they make the leap they are committed.

Squid's pretty good at calculating jumps. His brother Haku just jumps without even checking so he often falls and/or makes things fall with his clumsiness
