The dismantled Xbox
This is the Xbox dismantled after installing the new fan, sorry about not having a step-by-step of the terrible moves I did.
The Gaming PC
This is the gaming PC I grabbed the fan from.
Overview
This is an overview of the Xbox, I had to get rid of the Xbox fan holder because the fan is bigger than the original. Does it look terrible? Yes it does...
The new fan
I had to drill into the heat shield because it wouldn't stay still, ah well it works.
The end result
This is the sad part but again, it works and will last for another year hopefully.

Just stick your Xb360 pad into a usb port on the PC and Steam away; last 2 years of PC gaming doing this have been bliss :)

You could've buy another xbox, they're like a dime a dozen now

PC master race. check your gaming privileges
Jusmar
You could have just gone to an electronics store and got the right size fan for less than a dollar. That PC is probably a pre built anyway.

Why sacrifice a PC to fix an Xbox?
s0shadow
Taking a single fan out of a PC isn't "sacrificing a PC."
ROBROR87
It's reducing its potential though. And depending on how many fans are actually in the PC, it could be sacrificing.
ROBROR87
I like how I'm getting downvoted even though I'm right. Reducing the fans makes the PC run hotter.
