I'm fairly certain Fantasy Island was on the air for like 6 years

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Checks out. Fantasy Island ended 1984. Star Trek 2 was 1982.

*Rich. It's Rich Corinthian Leather.

4 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

It's both. Different commercials used "fine Corinthian leather," "rich Corinthian leather," and even "soft Corinthian leather."

And since I like his voice, I went and found some. 1 is fine Corinthian Leather: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0diMFShiUU

Fantasy Island?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He did that before wrath of khan.

Before, during and after. According to Imdb.com

Hey, isn't this Antonio Banderas's father-in-law? And isn't he also friends with the Toymaker?

There was a Japanese politician whose last name was Naoto Kan, I follow his career closely and when he finally became Prime Minister I

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Shouted Kahhhhn! He was the politician parodied in the outstanding shin Godzilla film by evangelion creator Hideaki Anno

You can't have better tiddies than the leading lady... I'm surprised this movie hasn't been banned in Florida.

i still say that's a prosthetic chest

So was Sigourney Weaver’s in Galaxy Quest.

This is him in 80, and he seems pretty fit:

Where is the William in this photo? Straight up and mooshed with spanx, I have to assume.

There's a story that George hit on him hard and he politely turned him down as he didn't swing that way but said it was a huge compliment

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

It is a huge compliment. I’d brag about it for sure.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

He says not. But I agree with you.

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 5

It almost looks like they baked him a chest out of bagel dough. With a neck like that you'd expect him ...

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

to look like Iggy Pop further down. But maybe his anatomy is just weird like that. Overcooked turkey above the necklace, glazed donut below

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That Corinthian leather tho.

all good in this film until they inverted the death scene

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 7

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I liked it, personally. The films were obviously alternate timelines and it's nice when they actually alter something other than 1/

4 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

"You're not played by Shatner in this one" and helps reinforce the idea that they aren't trying to replace the original stuff. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

You think so? I didn’t mind it- it was kinda cool seeing how much Kirk’s “death” affected Spock, followed by the Khan beat-down

4 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 3

I actually really liked that. Nice nod to the original, without being just copypasta. To me, the only stupid part was the anti-death blood.

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

Regenative. Khan showed us it worked at the beginning of the movie

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

ReGeNeRaTiVe that changes everything! Lol of course "it worked", it was written that way, it doesn't change anything about its silliness.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 7

I actually really enjoyed this movie.

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 3

the motivations and slight deviations from the original were interesting, but was weird to whitewash khan and then do the same story again

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

I enjoyed some of it, especially that chase mid-warp, but it was the second movie in a row where they essentially raced back to Earth

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

...and utterly destroyed the Enterprise.
