Enjoy a Book

Brent Weeks

Night Angle series is about an assassin that tells the story of how a few people can kill an entire government. granted there's a ton of magic, and training, and wars going on. But the devils in the details, great story, there is a detail that grinds me a bit. But overall it didn't mess bad enough that I couldn't finish the series.

Hard Luck Hank

Great story and series. This is the story of one poor guy that just keeps getting the shit detail. Sci-fi comedy, and plenty going on to keep everyone interested.

Dresden

Snarky wizard investigator that just can't seem to get along with anyone. There is a ton more to it then that. But really if you want to read about a wizard that finishes what he starts, oh and rides Sue the T-Rex (granted it was one book but it was pretty epic story telling.) Anyway these books do a great job with mystery and magic.

American Gods

Every nerd promotes Gaiman. To be fair, this guy earned it.

Magic 2.0

This is a fun story of what happens when a program finds out they are a program. This isn't spoilers, they talk about it in the first pages of the book.

The Laundry Files

This is a British bureaucratic look at avoiding and micromanaging the end of the world to flying squid monsters. Great books about a hungry ghost and his pet errand boy.

Soy Sauce

No description i give can do this book justice. It is just amazing. There is another book that ties to it called, This Book is full of Spiders: Seriously Dude Don't Open it. If you have read cracked, or anything by David Wong can't recommend it more.

Sandman Slim

This is about a poor bastard that got stuck in hell. He gets out, but that kind of thing isn't something you spring back from.

Incrypted

These are some fun stories. It is more directed at teens and young adults, but still pretty good reads if you are into snake cults and monsters.

The Lies of Locke Lamora

A gentleman bastard, kinda jumpy story telling but think of it as a Tartino flick with time.

The Name of the Wind

Just read this, then send all the hate mail you can to the author till the 3rd goddamn book is out. For Real. :/

Malazan Books of the Fallen

This series is amazing. There is another post that I made going way more in detail about it. Really suggest you read these books.

The Iron Druid

This is a great story of a Druid looking to live his life. Though a few angry gods keep trying to make that hard on him. This is a must read for fantasy fans that are tired of the standard story.
