Here's the person who actually commented the y0utube link this b0t converted into malware, then downvoted the original, and then upvoted itself. /gallery/a9FSkXT/comment/2510298819

As an aside, this is brigading behavior and clearly against Imgurs rules, but they don't even ban this garbage pail URL let asking the bot accounts after more then a month of this behavior... the owners could literally not care less about this community. It's actually amazing.

#20 it’s a slippery slope that ends in damnation…
Voxius
I just wrote a big comment about this. I agree.
Voxius
#20 This is a really stupid meme that could help people develop a very toxic mindset of relationships being transactional. IF you have a friend and want to know how they're doing, you go ask. You don't know what someone is going through. Communication is the hardest thing two humans can do together and contrary to what people think, the more you know someone the HARDER communication becomes at certain levels and topics. So don't think like this, it's selfish. Check in with your friends.

#13 as someone with no tattoos, I can confirm this is true
SnoiD
It’s strange, here in Belgium every single person that works in a supermarket has tats, they even recruit for new hires with tatted models
Iinajoki360
I am a teacher with tattoos. Nothing is real.

#1 I feel this. Last vacation was the final year of Obama as POTUS. Since then it's been a pandemic, Trump getting elected twice, being laid off, and wife getting cancer.
Looking back on that vacation, I miss those carefree days when things were still hopeful. Don't really see any future anymore.

#1 You're literally just anchoring yourself in the moments. You've got no responsibilities, nowhere to be, no one to be with, and you know tomorrow that all changes again. You won't catch me dead sitting on a bench anywhere for the hell of it any time of the year but last night, 12 hours before my flight, guess what...

It's true bliss.
VerySunBurned
#12 I've been laid off enough that I don't decorate. All I have is my laptop and power cord. Makes the inevitable "one on one with HR" easier to deal with.

also even the shows that depict a normal family in TV even throughout the years didn't have homes because housing was accessible and cheaper back then. it was just because family have homes and it's easier to show a house than an apartment. But also an animated comedy cartoon isn't thinking about this at all and just needs versimilitude to have a platform to make jokes. In much less words people being overthinking this.
shitheadtookmyname
#28 it wasn't considered normal. There's a whole episode about how abnormal it is. An engineer goes off the deep end bc Homer's house is insanely big
thelastboomer
#15 Yea and for those of who work from home it can happen walking into the next room.
areyouelonmusk
#1 you guys are getting vacations?

#15 Memes like this are what caused me to get tested. An explanation and validation of my own behaviors. Sometimes it’s cool to be able to hyper-focus on stuff, but I don’t get to choose what to focus on. Motivation comes and goes.

#13 I don’t have tattoos for the same reason I wouldn’t put a bumper sticker on a Ferrari
Because I don’t put bumper stickers on any of my cars ive had, especially the ones I’ve never had.
On a mushroom trip once I realized that all external things like that are just flags to let people know who we see ourselves as. Costumes for every day life.
I later heard it described by the great philosopher-drag queen, RuPaul as, “youre born naked; everything else is drag”
It really is true.
mamajaimie
#18 I wrote an essay sitting on the floor outside the classroom because the teacher was collecting them at the door. Everybody saw me. I won the statewide contest and had to receive the award from our congressman. It was my first week in a new school and everyone hated me.

#16 My grandmother raves about her grandmother's cinnamon rolls. The recipe died with her. For the sake of your bereaved great-great-grandchildren that you never met, don't hide the cinnamon roll recipes!
craiglewis782
Her grandmother's recipe might have been special, or it might be a common recipe. My aunt had a recipe that she wouldn't share for the longest time. She finally shared it with me when I moved away, on the condition that I never bring it to any family event.
I went out and bought the ingredients list, and the exact recipe was on the bag of the first ingredient. Cheesy potato casserole, on the Stouffer's bag of frozen hash browns. Mmmm, midwest funeral potatoes.
ChernoGamma
My grandmother made biscuits that nobody but me would think twice about, and nobody has the recipe. I miss them
CigarfromHavana
I feel this so hard! My Granny lived her whole life in Tennessee, and her epic biscuit recipe went with her. I can't miss her without missing those biscuits.

#9 I’m so extremely terrible at checking on muted charlts that I have resorted to starting off with one week. If that goes well enough, it shifts to forever. Which says a lot on how well I do in large groups…

#19 this wallpaper is amazing to me. because it is an actual photograph, no computer graphics at all. https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/i-was-shocked-to-find-out-the-windows-10-desktop-background-wasnt-computer-generated-but-a-picture-of-light-being-shot-through-an-actual-window/

#28 it wasn't, which is why the character Frank Grimes existed, then died. He pointed out all the absurdity of the show, had a mental break, then killed himself by touching high voltage electrical lines.
0RocketCat0
Also, abe sold his own house (which he built) to help homer buy that one.
JadeNB1729
That was in 1997. They've retconned over the years to explain the parts that don't fit in with the times any more.
dghughes
Also people now being mad a people in the past for owning a home. Get mad at workers making $2 / hour now and we're expected to pay a 30% tip. Unions protect workers not HR. Paid vacation of more than 2 weeks. Paid sick days > 1 week. Maternity leave. No prices won't rise since all this should be normal already and if the CEO makes a yearly "bonus" of $10M, $20M, $30M why doesn't that make prices rise?!?

The show goes to great lengths to show that Homer shouldnt have had the job or house that he did. He was only hired under president Ford's Operation Bootstrap, there was a whole episode where he has to go to college because its not normal to have his job without a degree, There was an episode about how his father sold his house to help buy the "palace" at 742 evergreen terrace. They also stay perpetually broke funding their lifestyle and countless episodes center around them not having money.
Zalm
Something about Burns falling in love with Marge, and letting Homer keep a relatively harmless position that is also a perfect scapegoat if something goes wrong so he can provide for the only woman he loves in his own weird way.

Y'all gotta learn history from something besides cartoons.
AVerySillyPuppy
Most US public school curriculum conveniently stops after World War 2 around the start of the Civil Rights Movement, typically acting like it's a "happily ever after" scenario. Wage stagnation, monopolization, union busting, etc. aren't generally covered.

Not really, the rate of two-income married households was pretty flat. It was more normal in the 50s and early 60s for single income households, but the poverty rate was double what it was from the 70s-now. Basically women started working more and poverty decreased. Before WWII, everyone worked during the great depression and before.
quelin
They were also pretty broke.

Im broke. So are you.

At least he had a fine automobile built in Croatia out of old Soviet tanks.
