I posted the other day about my positive HIV test. Was immediately and frequently accused of lying and/or homophobia. I suppose it wasn’t the best choice to emphasize that I got it from a homosexual fling, or should I say didn’t get it. I was in a bad place and wasn’t thinking about political correctness. Anyhow I got another test that came back negative and the blood people confirmed when they retested my sample. I don’t have HIV. That’s good I guess.

Get retested a few more times every few months. Sometimes can take a while to appear in some people. Just to be extra sure.

I was a false positive in ‘96. Back when blood tests were sent to the CDC, in Atlanta, and it took 2 weeks for results. Congrats on the win.

In the future, it is totally OK to ask for someone's tests first. Many sexually active young ppl, especially LGBT, get tested frequently.
