Zombie trivia part 1: The Walking Dead

All of the principal actors have a "Last Supper" the day they film their death scenes.

Only 11 of the 20 characters from the camp in season 1 are taken from the comics.

The title score and sequence images also get darker and more decomposed season-on-season to reflect the show's atmosphere getting darker.

No character has appeared in every episode.

The entire first half of season 6 takes place over just 2 days; the pilot episode takes place over the course of about 5 weeks.

There have been 253 total character deaths in the series so far.

Two of the walkers in the first episode are the same two actors in the same make-up as two zombies from Zombieland.

The name of the pilot, “Days Gone By”, comes from the name of the arc spanning the first six issues of the comic.

Morgan's son is called Duane, most likely in homage to Duane Jones, the actor who played the principal character, Ben, in the 1968 film Night of the Living Dead.
