Are you describing "unskilled labor"? Yeah. My mom worked as a seamstress for a while with a tailor back in the day when department stores had in-house alterations, and they both could rock a pfaff, but Stefan the immigrant tailor was next level. I hack my way around my two sewing machines forever in awe of those skilled professionals.

My mother worked as a seamstress in the 60s and 70s and has a bunch of little tools like this for her sewing table and machine, All sorts of shapes that do specific types of sewing/stitching.

Yeah - I think the first failure was trying to roll a seam; is too thick.
Second one was rolling too much material so the fuzzy edge was visible.

Yeah, it's because of this clip, seen a few years ago here on imgur, that I got one of these feet for my sewing machine. Took a little time getting use to but is pretty awesome.

If your machine doesn't have a little bolt in front to attach it, you can also buy a rolled hem presser foot.

I have a 1929 Singer that came with one among several foot attachments.. It's awesome. The bunching one is pretty cool too.

Mine came with a little manual that shows how they all work, so I had a leg up. Not that I used anything but the seam rolling in OP's video
