IIARC I remember in biotechnology college they said alcohol solution 65-95% kills everything almost instantly (100% does not work well as the water is needed for alcohol to enter the cells, or something), soap kills too but you'd have to give an exposure time of ~20 minutes to kill all of them.

it actually doesn't the friction of pushing and pulling does Soap bonds with fatty lipid membrane, soap bonds to water, and than the pushing and pull breaks the virus membrane apart.
soap doesn't kill it directly the friction does.

Soap binds with fats. cell walls are a phospholipid bilayer - made of fats, which soap tears apart thus killing germs too. Alcohol also disrupts cells but in a different way.

Which is why you have to be careful making homemade soap. The more concentrated ingredients, especially if it's lye soap, will dissolve the fat *currently attached to your body* if you get too much on you. It can also be an issue for certain professions that have to wash their hands a lot, like people in medical or food prep jobs.
