Defending the Constitution. It is the ACLUs only client.

Her job was to enforce the laws of the US as they are written not to decide if they were constitutional. That's the job of the courts

That's not borne out by history.

Legit question : Wasnt she an Obama appointee? Wouldnt she have been replaced right away anyway ? Not American so I dont know how it works.

She was just the interim AG. She was going to be replaced anyway. Literally happens every admin. Repubs won, so everything is hitler.

Yeah but the rhetoric sprouted about her was pretty scary

She didn't do her job. Any other president would've fired her too

except she did do her job, even to the requirements of the incoming AG, Jeff Sessions

She said she wouldn't defend the EO. She wasn't doing her job

He absolutely had the right to fire her, but he absolutely did it the wrong way.

nobody is arguing about the president's ability to dismiss appointees, it's about doing it to people who stand up to your unlawful orders

but yet trump already behaved badly by not working with the AG to improve the order

Got fired for not doing her job, how cavalier.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 8

Or for standing up for what is right, not alt-right

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

That's fine and dandy, but you can't expect to keep your job by being insubordinate.

I think she knew she was getting canned

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The fact that she knew it would get her fired is what makes it impressive. Moral courage is rarer than physical courage.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which is fine. Just people shouldn't be outraged by the act.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Imgur doesn't show me what you replied to. Which act? Hers or Trump's?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

actually she got fired for doing her job

Just like Kim Davis, right? Oh wait.

I don't think you understand this if you compare the 2. You just want to write things...

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I think you're just upset because it's the exact same argument.

I'm sure it is in your head. that's why some people lead and some follow.
