I posted this image less than a week ago. The dog's name is Bigs. He had a trial run at a new home this weekend.
The new home didn't work out. He will be killed if some kind soul doesn't step up. Sweet guy, un-neutered, and needs to be the only pet. He has arthritis and requires medication, which runs $114/month. I would take him in a heartbeat if I wasn't on the other side of the country. Don't give up on him just because he's old. He's still enjoying life. Just look at that smile, like Rhonda said.

7/29/17 update: Bigs is at another trial home. So far, so good. He is on a large lot of land with another older yellow lab. They seem to be getting along just fine.

He's not sick; he has arthritis. It's a physical ailment that most of us develop in our elder years, but hopefully still enjoy living life.

What tools do they not have? This dog has medication. If he was running and swimming last weekend, I think he's getting around okay w/ meds.

That's how I feel. I would fight as hard for a dog as I would for a human... after all, it's usually humans harming both.
