Christopher Walken turned 82 yesterday

Moral of this scene: Stay in school, kids. (Actually, your Department of Education is dismantled. Good luck in your life's journey.)

Business men but made a rookie mistake, always be specific and always read the fine print. Learned that from my non-businessman dad.

Do not mess with this guy

Don't share this, we can all make a lot of money here.

Is this the bloke from Severance?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Oh yeah, taking advantage of the space between [words], and winning a bet.

Still Walken Here

You’re talking to me all wrong. Its the wrong tone

Everyone just throws money on the table, nobody is writing down the bets?

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Don't try and add logic to telly programs, it'll just hurt your brains.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

ooo

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Pay attention. Mr Walken said Between three.......... and 400 pushups. The pause was there. not that it is needed.

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Mr Walken pauses where

Mr Walken WANTS to

The way they all throw random amounts of money down on the table is such an annoying movie trope. Someone needs to write down everyone’s bets for this to work.

$600 for some very important life lessons.
1: The possible interpretations of 3-400 vs 300-400
2: Making frivolous bets
3: Betting against someone who is 100% confident they're going to win the bet.

Outlaws. Very good series https://m.imdb.com/title/tt11646832/ i believe it's available on BBCiplayer and amazon prime, if anyone wanted to give it a go

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had a guy do a scam bet like that with me on the street, and he won $5 from me. He gave me this wisdom

"If someone comes up to you on a street or in a bar with a bet, they did it because they know they'll win."

That was $5 well spent, I say.

A+ on being willing to learn a lesson! That's apparently hard for people 😔

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And he wore a gold watch while doing it.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I believe this is from a British series called The Outlaws

Yes, it is

If anybody says.... JUST TO BE CLEAR. You should be VERY careful.

I play enough D&D to be wary of wording like that.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I've heard that's like a giant RED ALERT.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is, linguistically speaking, what you agreed to

That centaur stomped on his head didn't he?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Is this a Hercules reference?

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It is now!

What was it originally?

Outlaws! I love that series

I'm having trouble finding it, is Christopher Walken a main character? I want to make sure I find the right one before I start to watch it

Can I just say, I'm so happy that you commented the name of the show. I hate seeing comments that just say, "I love that series" when no one has tagged the source.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I just found out about it recently and binged it all, it's so fricking good!

Wife, is that you?

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I came to post a comment about how this is cute and funny, but..... don't try this IRL. It will not end well. But I see that sentiment has been covered, so I will refrain. OH WAIT I MEA—

It depends on the scale of the bet. Something inconsequential - a dollar, the last slice of a pizza, who's turn it is to drive - then it's fine. The worst that'll happen is you'll get an eyeroll and a reputation. For serious bets that'll result in meaningful amounts of money changing hands or feelings being hurt, you gotta make sure everybody has the same understanding of the terms of the bet. This kind of technically would go against the spirit of the bet.

There are lots of reasons I don't bet, but chief among them is how many times I've been called a cheater. I do not cheat.

1 year ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

Same reason here. I don't bet because people get angry and stupid when stakes enter the equation.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Sounds like something a cheater would say.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Im a fuckin rules nerd. I know all the rules so I know all the social so i know when and how to bend them. When it comes to games, I tend to be exact. It's my Play style that makes people think I cheat. It's very adaptive and appears erratic, which means ppl can't read me, which is like 50% of most games.

He’s got good rules. The best rules. No one can do rules like him.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Everyone knows this.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah......I used to know guys like that at pool halls. They would disappear.

1 year ago | Likes 404 Dislikes 14

The pool hall. In the 1980s I would go there and smoke cigarettes, see my friends and maybe play a game of 8 or 9 ball. Those days.

If you're going to live the life, you better carry a knife.

1 year ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

You're talking about a totally different class of bet. $600 hundred to the guy that threw down was obviously not that big of a deal. Yes, if you rip off an actual working guy off for that much he'll kick your ass. A guy in a suit in an expensive hotel lobby where he probably spent $300/night on a room? Not so much.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

......He'll pay a working guy to do it for him.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This guy IS a pool hall junkie :)

1 year ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Love that movie! Was looking for a comment before I made one

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

i dont know anywhere where "just to be clear..." wouldnt instantly trigger everyone alarms and they would start argueing about semantics and definitely make clear they mean "between three hundred and four hundred"...

1 year ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 0

Yeah if you’re going to try this trick with the wrong crowd you better really know your audience. Else wise you’ll be getting some lovely gifts. Like custom made shoes. Made from cement.

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 4

I mean, you're just not walking out with the money. Maybe a beating, maybe not. But you're not getting the money that way, lol. They're just gonna go 'oh man, ya got me?'

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yah. Like the movie Casino. You get the cash and the hammer or you walk out of here.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They would have help "disappearing"

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

Yeeeahhhh yeaaaaah. ANd somehow the folks they scammed were made whole again.

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

It is funny as a bit, I'd find it funny to do it but I wouldn't try to keep the money lol.

1 year ago | Likes 100 Dislikes 2

I have no idea what this is from, but I think the crowd is backing Walken because they hate Suite Guy. Social pressure is both amazing and terrifying

(I also know this is a fake scene)

1 year ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Pretty sure it's a scene, I'm not even sure how you'd do a fake scene.
