I think those people are fools but they are talking about social security disability. That is not the same as the social security you pay into then receive when you retire. They are both funded by the social security administration. The argument is usually that it should be two different programs. There are some fools that think that SSD should go away all together.

The elderly were actually pretty evenly split between trump and Harris. Ages 50-65 were actually the ones who voted for Trump the most. Ages 65+ voted for Trump only 3 points more than ages 30-49.

Unfortunately we will perpetually be up against the category of people whose default state of mind is "well, clearly I am exempt from this thing, because I am special" who will then proceed to actively work to take away their own rights, entitlements, and benefits. Because they truly and genuinely believe that other people did not earn the things they benefit from, but they are an exception and an example of "truly deserving" of it. The actual thing does not matter, its a mindset.
