When I was young, my neighbor and his cousin dropped by my place. It was my first time meeting her and she had the same sort of intensity, larger than life presence, and mannerisms. From what I was told, she also intimidated men, likely in the same way as Eartha. I admit, I also found her intimidating, maybe even borderline terrifying in some way that I couldn’t explain. After she left, her cousin said “I think she likes you.” Damn she’s an interesting memory.
