surprises me that they're willing to risk marching double-reeds (the bassoons). our oboe and bassoon players were switched to different instruments during marching season. if you fall, there's really nothing to stop the two little wooden reeds from slicing directly through your palate.

Man, the woodwinds really know how to jam out!

That bassoonist was absolutely killing it. I don't say that about many bassoonists. I'm known for having high bassoon standards, sometimes unrealistically high.

I went to a high school with a huge marching band. I loved it when they marched down the hall and did stuff like this.

The fact that this just seems to be a normal day at the mall is the most interesting thing to me.

I hate how unrealistic these are. No demons, vampires, undead, kaiju, or even giant mechs attacking in the middle. This is clearly AI or maybe Korean or something.

Motherfuckers if you make me put the /s in...

Duh, there's no spiky and colourful hair around, those aren't main characters!

I cant help but think about how loud that would be up close in a closed area..

That's quite the orchestra: Two bassoons, two bass clarinets and even a bass sax.

That was my thought. Bassoons?!?!?

It's one thing to do that stuff with a brass instrument (I probably could have when I was younger...9 years of marching band, 7 years of drum corps), but to do those kinds of moves with woodwinds that large? That's just insane.

Bassoons are hard enough to play properly *without* moving!

Why do they have to wear such short skirts? Isn't their talent enough?

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where is all the skin and booty shaking?

For anyone who has never played an instrument, what you're seeing is damn near impossible. Maintaining proper breath control and embouchure (position and shape of the mouth) while also dancing... really well...in tight synchronous formation is like doing trigonometry while skiing moguls.

With focus and practice many things are possible. I commend them on their dedication

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Are you not even allowed to wear shoes in a mall

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why were the trombones and tubas the only one to wear pants?

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have never seen someone march a BASSOON before! Wow! THAT is insane dedication

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

When I was in high school, I played clarinet during marching season. No way I was possibly breaking an $8 bassoon reed while marching around!

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ugh, need to sort by height.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Thats not how marching bands work.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

When I was in the military, that was a common thing; if the guy in front of you is taller than you, swap spots.

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is there some requirement that all the flute players have to be in the back, all the tuba players have to be in the back, all the bassinet players have to be together?

5 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

K, how to do they work?
