with a child, but I would trust Scout alone with him over most people anyway. 2

Loyal breeds you can ask for. Too much dogfighting, and bad owners give them a bad rep. A well trained pit, is super chill and loving.

Kids interact inappropriately with dogs, and some dogs will absolutely bite them in response. An adult can prevent both of these situations
At the shelter I've seen dogs bite kids because kids stapled their ears, or because they took a toy away, or getting too close to its face
(yes literally used a stapler multiple times on a dog's ear before the dog bit the kid)
