I had an idea of trying to duplicate some video game levels on Minecraft. I figured I would start with SMB since it’s pretty easy to match block by block. Once I get into 3D video games, that’ll be a different story.
Every block you see is almost 100% block for block in the game. I literally looked up the maps and would sit and count each block.
The only exception are the warp pipes. These had to be 3x3 so you could make an opening in the pipe. Here is the warp pip to the sub level on 1 - 1.
Even the sub level is exact block for block.
Here is the warp pipe exit out of the sub level.
Here is the end of the level. The only thing I still couldn’t duplicate are the flag polls at the end of each level. I don’t know what to use. Anyways, I’ve been working on the other 3 levels, but I need to go back and fine-tune some stuff. As or right now these levels aren’t really playable, but I’m trying to work it out so that one day they could be. They still need some work. I’m also trying figure out how to use the pistons to get over the warp pipes and tall obstacles.

How about jump boost for getting over pipes? You can make the pole out of white stained glass panes and a gold block
