Remember the imbecile who demanded to know why only Republican pols were getting sick?...

They shouldn't be out. Just push aside your lockdown whiskey and crack open your election win whiskey. Then get a glass for each.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They actually did, at least CNN did. Celebrate but be safe and careful. Certainly going to have it spread harder after today, unfortunately

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aren’t they all in cars as well?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually Jake Tapper was calling some of it out.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

so social distancing isnt needed then?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I can't believe there's a meme format of this State Farm ad.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Honestly, I was still seeing the media talk about it even then. So, yeah.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The USA has 100,000 cases a DAY. one big party ain’t gonna affect that much. Months of measures, masks and distancing will.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

while this sadly dosnt hold up well for todays festivities, and people should be admonished for that, ill be damned before a anti-mask trump

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

supporter has ANY place to talk shit about how its wrong. im done with the right pivoting to shit it opposed the second its expedient.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So... they still shouldn't be forming unnecessary crowds.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Masks or not the rallies are a bad idea. The mask help lower spread but group gatherings outside or not greatly increase the risk of spread.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well yes... but also no...

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

They also stay in their cars

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 4

People are outside of their cars in the clip.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Except for the part where CNN had multiple reports in it throughout the day. Omar Jimenez alone said it at least 4 different times.

5 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 5

It's amazing how MAGAlanders know what the news shows they never watch talking about. It's like a stupor power.

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Said what?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Didnt see what OP was referring to but jake tapper admonished them for not social distancing, and praised Minneapolis protestors for it

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Family stayed in their cars, they wore masks, the cars were all spread apart.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Yes, masks make people invincible, every knows that. /s

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 24

Japan had less than 1000 deaths from covid. They didn't shut down their economy. They just wore masks and washed their hands.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

If you have to make up ridiculous hyperbole to make your point, you don't actually have one.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Outside gatherings with masks are one of the less dangerous things tbf.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I'm in the middle and of the opinion that with the win we need to hold ourselves above the standards we expected of the trump administration

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

We won but we should not be grouping up partying with or with out masks. all it takes is one slip up and someone spreads it. dont be good. >

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

be better

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Khakis.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I agree, it’s not a wise thing to do but in the bright side at least they wear masks and if they do get sick they’ll actually...

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

....quarantine themselves and not go about their lives like normal not wearing a mask.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yay!! My first FP!!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

It's also a little early to see any spike, so give it some time, if any.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

Meanwhile, feel free to look at all of Biden's other masked rallies and how they turned out.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

If wearing a mask at a political rally is a safe act, why can't we have concerts, plays, sporting events? Hold everyone to a high standard¹

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

² and strictly enforce mask wearing. I miss live music.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not ideal, I wish there were less people on the streets, but after the super spreader events and all the protestors with guns 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'm just happy with the bare minimum of masks and people who aren't actively threatening others with physical violence. Which is pretty sad.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Still could use a bit more distance.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hate to break the narrative, but this isn't 100% true. Also they should not have gone out in such numbers. Celebrate, but celebrate smart.

5 years ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 7

I saw cnn call it out personally

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Low key freaked out when Biden held baby part speech. I hope they were all treated and had been quarantining, because that looked too close.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

If the Dems do it then it’s safe....don’t worry

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

It's not *as* safe as not having them, of course, but they're safer than indoor or without masks, and thus are unlikely to be superspreaders

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

Well then lets make that sacrifice and take the safest course of action. I was disappointed to see it.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Just making excuses, if the tables were turned you would be losing your shit.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are currently more people sick with COVID in the US than at any other time. Ever. IDGAF if they all wore masks and stayed 6ft apart.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why don’t you DGAF about if they wore masks or not?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Because they didn't need to group up to have a party in the first place. That alone is setting a bad example.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They didn't see a large outbreak after the riots on police brutality though because it's outside and mask were worn .

5 years ago | Likes 132 Dislikes 18

Riots huh?

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 5

The outbreak is visable after 1 or 2 weeks unfortunately. Tough you are right that it seems not to spread as much outside.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Or because it’s an approved and encouraged political narrative...

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 93

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Guys don't make fun of the mentally challenged.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Or because the earth is flat

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Pppppsssshhh..the earth.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Well yeah, if appealing to people's want to not kill their fellow Americans is something only one side does, guess so.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Prove with data then

5 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 4

So was the other one and it was by the people actually in power for ywars but their covid results were horrifying.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

That changes reality and data how?

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

Because it doesn't hurt their feelings

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Exactly OP, all these butthurt Trumpers keeps complaining about COVID when they are the ones who go to INSIDE rallies without MASKS

5 years ago | Likes 278 Dislikes 23

They didn’t say shit about their rallies, so fuck them and their snowflake feelings...

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I’m glad Biden won. People are being irresponsible, risking the wellbeing of themselves and their community. Let’s be consistently rational

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It’s a goddamn airborne pandemic.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You kinda sound like trump.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I mean I'm not for Trump in the slightest I'm just concerned about the pandemic going on. This is (well should be) a pretty apolitical thing

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

They suddenly care about COVID when they are trying to insult others but don’t care enough to wear a mask without a hissy for

5 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

*fit

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

And inside my fucking workplace without one and right in my face to ask a fucking asinine question.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And at least on CNN I have heard the "I'm glad they're wearing masks but it's still not a great idea to be in a crowd" a few times today

5 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 0

So it's not like the MSM isn't calling it out to at least some level

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

I’m excited about Biden’s win, but agree that getting together in large groups may not be the best idea. Still a pandemic happening.

5 years ago | Likes 1035 Dislikes 6

This much emotion makes anyone dumb. No excuse, it is hypocrisy, but for some this is LITERALLY having a death threat removed

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

How bout the Notre Dame fans storming the field? That's a lot of covid in a couple weeks

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

They are kinda in their cars

5 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 6

Absolutely. And it’s a million times better than Trumps rallies. Take it from an Aussie - stay away from each other for a while.

5 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 5

We did - and stomped that bitch down. New Zealand did the same. We weren’t in the hole that you are, but you can see the effects /2

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

3 weeks after measures were put in place. Mark my words, in 3 weeks, you’ll see a spike in infections. I wish you guys all the best.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

when the surge happens, do remember ~6 mill people voted in person. It's coming no matter what.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We'll probably be OK due to high mask usage. The BLM protests saw very few new Covid cases for this exact reason.

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Outdoors really helps. Even a little air movement makes the aerosols dissipate.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sadly, his inauguration crowd will probably be smaller than trump’s...

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Nah, just much more spread out. Lots will probably attend just so Trump can't say shit

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

As it should be, and that is fine. I hope Biden opts for a televised only inaugural, because its the safe, prudent thing to do.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Inauguration is held mostly outside. Outdoors really helps. Even a little air movement makes the aerosols dissipate.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yup. I went to a fire at a friend's house last night, just 4 people, 8 more showed up and I left.

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

And then everyone clapped?

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 17

If they didn’t, they probably should. It’s this sort of thing that helps. Wash hands and surfaces, wear a mask and avoid groups. It works.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Exactly

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I live with my dad and he's 66, can't risk getting covid

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Why did you even go when there was 4 people then? Still putting yourself and him at risk.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Cause it was 4 people I know are responsible and have been quarantining. The other 8 were her roommates friends.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

A...... a fire?

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Bonfire maybe?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ding ding

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sorry. I'm from Cali and we don't look kindly on fires, which is why it freaked me out. Bonfire makes much more sense (and less anxiety).
