For the love of beer.

I love beer. Plain and simple. I've been drinking it since high school. Whether it was powerchugging 16oz tall boys of Bud Light underneath the bleachers during a high school football game, getting my 60 year old neighbor to buy me and my buddies cases of suds to bring to a party to try to one-up our classmates, or my uncles feed me can after can after can on a rocking charter boat on a warm summer night leading me to projectile vomit all over myself; my enthusiasm had a colorful start.

Of course I drank cheap garbage when I was a kid because that's all I knew! It wasn't until recently, however, that I simply could not stomach the taste of it any longer. For a short while I thought my worst nightmare had finally come to fruition: I don't like beer anymore. I drink liquor from time to time but I didn't want to STRICTLY drink liquor. I respect my liver.

The taste of any mainstream beer is nauseating to me. I hate to sound like a snob but I can literally taste the concoction of mystery chemicals as it's entering my facehole. Surely there has to be something else out there that can quench my thirst for that fuzzy goodness ole Ben Franklin was so fond of.

I first tried craft beer when I was 21. I thought it was okay but I wasn't crazy about it. However, in my quest to find a new libation to satisfy me I recently stumbled upon craft beer again. And to keep it short I fell madly in love again. It's just so damn good!

The beer pictured it Lawson's Finest Liquids "Sip of Sunshine" from Vermont. It's a double IPA and it's ranked among the best beers in the United States. It's hard to come by where I'm from so I always buy some when I see it.

I'm sorry for the long post. I just really love a good beer and enjoy talking to people about it and trying new ones.
