Story time! I lost my phone and wallet in a Target parking lot...the guy that found them drove to my previous address (on my license) to return them. When he found out I wasn't living there anymore he spoke to my previous neighbors and they helped track me down to make sure I got them back (even leaving the $5 in cash I had in my wallet intact)...Dude went waaaaaay out of his way for a complete and utter stranger.
Gil took his personal time and effort to make sure a complete strangers day (and coming weeks of aggravation, stress and replacement) were avoided simply because "he would've wanted someone else to do the same for him.."
THIS is the kind of behavior and citizenship that will "Make America Great Again"...

It would have been easier if you got a new license with your new address on it like you're supposed to do

You should cancel your cards and have them reissued anyway. Always good to be cautious with that.

How the hell do you learn not to do it again if you didn't pay a price. This is terrible.

We all know if Hillary would have won, then they would have kept your wallet.

Thank you for slightly, just slightly for somewhat restoring my faith in humanity!

Should still cancel all you credit/debit cards. Considering he could've written down the numbers and knows your address.

A guy goes out of his way to help out and you'd still think malicious things about him? You're part of the problem he's trying to correct
ratmagic
Sorry for be cautious.
