A few days ago the charger of my old iPhone broke, so I went to the next apple store to get a new one. The guys there told me apple hasn´t been selling this cable for years.
I´m standing in the store with a fully functional phone and 8% battery.
Instead of a new cable they try to talk me into a new 1000$ iphone and told me it would be impossible to find the cable elsewhere since it has been off the market for so long. Fml.I decide to try it elsewhere first.
Go to a small, shitty phone shop that fixes and sells used phones etc. The shop is closed but I can see people inside. By this point my phone is dead so at least I have to try. I´m lucky and they let me in.
Explain to the smelly, friendly guy behind the counter what I need, he starts laughing and says, sure, one moment please.I got people like you coming in here every week.
Comes back with a 4 feet long cable, far better quality than apple.
I pay 8$ for the cable. He didn´t try to sell me one of his phones.
