The Tenryu-ji temple

Zenified

Green matcha tea beer

Can’t wear a kimono all day

Bridge of Arashimaya

Store name of the famous mandarin sweets

The inside of the mandarin orange has been liquified into a special jelly

Every temple is gorgeous inside

Colors of Japan’s greenery

Writing one’s blessings

Flowers ????

Another way to help promote a temple

Touching a peach

Lake Biwako - Japan’s largest lake, next to Kyoto

Beautiful scenery!!

I miss living in Japan. I wish I could go back. It feels like my soul and my body got separated being forced to leave.

Socks with thong sandals makes me uncomfortable...

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

The sandals are geta and are typically worn with tabi socks. Traditional Japanese attire for kimono wear.

kawaii!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd touch her peach

Is kimono heavy?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Summer kimono (yukata) is make of cotton. Formal kimono is pretty heavy and can get hot.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Ah, the adorable Japanese girl with the pontoon feet again. It's always good to see you and read all the neckbeard comments!

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

She's not Japanese.

I am saving up for the trip to Kyoto. Real bucket list stuff to see the zen gardens. If I get there I will post on imgur: eta 2020!

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

How's that 2020 travel plan coming along?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kyoto was my fav part of my Japan trip! Don't forget to see the monkies at Arashiyama along with the beautiful shrines and temples.

Are kimono's comfy?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

No they are not, there is a hard layer of plastic over the tummy as well, it’s hard to wear them all day

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In my limited experience, it depends. More formal ones are stiffer and more restricting. More casual are lighter and nicer to wear.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They look comfy. Especially if they’re made of real silk.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

You have to bind the layers pretty tightly to keep them looking nice so they're pretty restricting from my experience. The fabric is lovely!

There's this way to show a tour of Japan, and then there's this way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8-vje-bq9c

Such beautiful kimonos are they silk?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Mostly cotton and some parts are silk. It’s a 3 layer kimono ^_^

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Depends on the kimono. These look like yukata, which are usually cotton. More formal (+ expensive) kimono might be silk.

This repost is so old that Godzilla already laid waste to most of those destinations.

8 years ago | Likes 96 Dislikes 6

Even if we pretend it IS original content, it's still full of selfies which requires a downvote.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 9

Those aren’t selfies. I wouldn’t downvote someone having pictures of themselves taken on an interesting journey.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean it’s obvious that this Isn’t @OP

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 6

Oh?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

78 neckbeards are currently photoshopping themselves into these pix.

8 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 2

Well clearly SHE will appreciate their vast knowledge of anime. And she'll want to serve them as obedient waifu instead of dating chads

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Make that 79.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Everything looks so pretty I feel like I'd be polluting just being there

8 years ago | Likes 885 Dislikes 1

they take polluting very seriously in Japan, you would lose a hand for even thinking like that

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Filthy Gaijin!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Same here. I'm a 34 year old American man. If I farted in Japan, it would pollute their country for an entire generation.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Same here mate (╥﹏╥)

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Well they don't like trash so they probably would just pick me up as soon as they saw me

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In Kyoto you won't even be noticed next to the busloads of Chinese tourists.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll do "My life in Detroit", you'll feel better.

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Crikey I get that feeling in Scunthorpe

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be fair, OP probably wouldn’t want to upload pictures of trash or drunken businessmen

8 years ago | Likes 103 Dislikes 3

She went to japan not Boston

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

You saying boston is dirty? (Looks around) Yeah, I guess it could be cleaned up a little.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are you from California, sweetie? Because you seem thirsty.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

I was trying to play the funny angle enough to avoid the downvote fairies. I guess i kinda half succeeded. I have much water at home, thanks

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

More like a repostie boastie

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I cant often tell if something is a repost unless either i know it is or repoststatistics is around :(
