U.S. Marshals are on the hunt for a heavily-tattooed, convicted sex offender who failed to check into a transitional center after he was released from prison.
Matthew Stager was last seen on Feb. 2 when he was released from the Federal Correctional Complex in Petersburg, Virginia, according to a release from Deputy U.S. Marshal Chris Leuer.
His current whereabouts are unknown.
Stager was ordered to report to a "transitional center" in Texas, but he never showed up.
"Stager has known connections to multiple states around the country," the release states.
Officials said he has a history of drug abuse and mental health concerns.
