A couple of months ago my dog went blind
It was irreversible and hurting him, so they took his eye out
At first it was swollen and painful
After a few days, he decided to embrace his new pirate self
Now, 4 weeks after the surgery, he looks like he never had an eye!
Milks it for all its worth (lots and lots of bacon)

It was irreversible and causing him a lot of pain (because of the pressure in his eye). Much kinder to take it out.
