FYI, this permanently damages the dogs coat, it never grows back the same, doesnt help with shedding, and it doesnt cool the dog down. (1)

"Everybody knows" because it's been studied a long time ago. I meant that there aren't modern studies. Guard hairs grow much slower than (1)

Undercoats work both ways. Insulates warmth in the winter and keeps them cooler in the summer than without it. Don't shave!!

Huskies have a double coat, if you shave them it wrecks their insulation and the inner coat is never the same

Except you're NEVER supposed to shave a husky like this because they can regulate heat with their two coats. Your Pom is different.
