I am a twnety-nine year old female that lives alone and I heard footsteps outside my bedroom window (Side of the building where the water heaters and utility meters are located). My cat instantly jumped up and ran to the window to see who was outside. I ran to the kitchen to grab my car keys (My car is parked right next to my kitchen window). I locked my car about 2-3 times to create some noise. I then ran back to my room and laid in bed with a bat for almost 30 minutes.
I have never been so freaked out before in my life.

Tip I heard keep your keys on your nightstand so you can hit the panic button if someone comes into your house. Me I keep my gun there.
