I glued up some pine boards and didn't use scraps to protect the wood. So I ended up with these dimples and I want to show you h

First, I drop some water right on the area and let it sit for a minute or two

It will seep into the wood

Then, with a searing hot iron I heat up the spot. This evaporates the water instantly and the steam blows up the fibres

Another one, before

And after

No more dimples!

Easier solution put a flat piece a wood between the clamp and the pine...only the in between piece will get the dimple not the pine...

For more control wet a paper towel then squeeze it till its damp, then just iron the one section. I build guitars so you have to be precise.
