I know that I have definitely seen birds nibbling at each other socially so I'd like to believe this person is right and that owl loves his little human

P.S. Careful, the bird bites

As a bird lover and owner for more then 20 years the text is right. Puffing up, hissing and spreading the wings are usual threat displays.

You're rolling the dice on this one. That owl could tear her apart. Yes its cute but I wouldn't let my kid hug that killing machine.

The stupid and self righteousness of people scares me... also, adorable owl and little girl is adorable

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Seriously if this owl was upset, it'd draw blood and remove flesh. This owl is not upset.

Girl loves her sky-murder-floof

Cute and all, but what happens when it's tired of getting hugged and pecks her eye out? They will blame the owl.

There might be some friendly exceptions out there. As a rule, keep the wild animals in the wild and out of the house.

This is astounding, was really worried the owl was about to flip out; really damn happy to be wrong! But i love how lightly the kid hugged!

10 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

Agreed. A lot of the times kids dont know how to treat animals nicely unless they grew with them from a very young age. Good on her parents.
