I started collecting when I was around 9 years old.
I'm 30 now and managed to collect a lot of mini's over the years.
Really enjoyed the games.
Started getting better at painting.
Started enjoying the hobby in general.
Decided to dedicate a room to it.
Decided to dedicate a room to it.
Collection grew bigger.
Had some great games.
Built a new table.
Upgraded the room a lot.
Upgraded the table.
Upgraded the workstation.
Then one day I heard a loud bang.
The roof collapsed landing on the workstation.
The workstation and everything I was working on was destroyed.
Which as you know, your usually working on a lot at once.
While waiting for the slow landlord, another section fell.
Destroying everything that was on the table
It was during a 4000 point battle. (the bits of mini's already removed)
Luckily, it was only my models on the table.
I'd just borrowed my friend two of my armies to play the game.
I don't have many pictures of the aftermath.
I just really didn't enjoy taking these photos
But wanted a something to show the damage to the estate agency
But in the end, I lost my £800 deposit because there was dirt from the roof everywhere.
I haven't been able to bring myself to play since

I had insurance the estate agent pretty much made us get to move into the house. Turned out it only protected the building and landlord.

They pulled loads of tricks. I didn't finish moving things out of that room because it wasn't safe. They charged me loooads for removal.

The charged me loads for the cleaning bill. Even though it was the builders that tracked all the dirt out of the room.

I went through an estate agent too. They have lots of really good lawyers and the company I worked for just went bankrupt. So I was broke.

I would dispute that deposit loss. Impressive collection though. You can build again, you ain't dead yet It's what humans do after a tragedy
