A few variables primarily age and development, another big part has to do with branding and face/name recognition. Basically, maintain the same image until the actor/team is comfortable that people know them, and only then they can change. The last being her trying to avoid beign type casted/shaking her connection with Stranger Things in order to expand casting agents perception of her range abd marketability

It’s not the age it’s the journey. Mind you I don’t follow any of this, but she seems to suffer from mental health issues related to things; her sudden skyrocketing fame, social pressures, immediate role casting to 1 show, etc. maybe? Could also be lifestyle and drinking to cope? Complete unsubstantiated guessing but not untypical for young stars; River Phoenix, Drew Barrymore, Miley Cyrus, etc. She’ll come out of it in time if this is happening, hopefully by people who genuinely care for her.

Not really. Just speculation based on that one blatant lie she told on social media, which even hit Imgur, and the historical melt downs that tend to follow young stars. None of my business either way, but from this one photo I wouldn’t be surprised if she wasn’t doing well. Regardless probably should just shut up and move on. Even if all I did was respond to someone who said, “she’s looking old for her age” and I said “yeah, maybe she’s going through some stuff. Give her a break.” Be well.
