To some degree, Office is too much for most people. It's like a backhoe instead of a hand shovel for planting a few flowers.

Literally the only thing you need to do is right click and change the Text Wrapping setting. Two clicks, that's it.

Learned the answer when excel decided that my decimal data looks better as dates. Randomly, maybe 5-10 data points among few hundred were2/3
