2 years ago, 1 year since his rescue. All the stress of nobody wanting him, and a move across the country was taking a serious toll. He had very few feathers left due to all of the stress.
Here we are today!! Flight feathers are nearly there! He can't gain any lift yet, but he's doesn't plummet to the ground when he decides to try to fly, or fall of a perch. He even has some green feathers coming back!

Birds molt twice a year. So they only get new feathers then. Its not hair. He also plucks due to other issues, but this is good progress.

After that, he was shunted from home to home for a couple years, them we moved across the country, so he was super stressed for a long time
