My grandpa was in the army. He has lots of fun stories about him trying to get out of doing things.

He ran the family business

His grandpa started a furniture store and funeral parlor in the early 1900's. My grandpa ran the store from the 60's through the early 1990's when he finally said enough of that.

Music Man

My grandpa played the alto-horn (baby baritone), a not very common instrument around here. He also borrowed my sister's trumpet and played Taps for the cat when the cat died.

My grandpa also likes westerns and when he got a chance to ride a horse, he did! This was in his 70s. (2005ish)

80th birthday!

My grandpa has said for years, "When I turn 80, I'm going to start drinking again, smoking again, and having sex again." then point to my grandma "so look out!"

As a joke, my brother, sister, and I pitched in and got him everything he needs for restart his fun.
