Same as you. I’ve been hungry. I’ve been in those shoes. I stole. I robbed. I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.
Make sure it's not any person who doesn't feel like you have the right to steal their belongings. Best wishes, hope things get better 4 you
Have to catch me first. That stupid left his laptop unguarded. Sounds like their own fault.

Ask to meet them and you'll give them the money value of the laptop instead, save them having to sell it. Then when you meet, stomp them.
I've been hungry, ive grown up where my mother didn't eat so we could, ive seen murders in my street. Ive never committed a crime ever.
Then you haven’t been hungry enough.
I've been hungry enough to work... thats how it works. I cleaned garages, gardens, washed neighbours cars for any money. But never broke the
Law. So why don't you stop trying to justify this nonsense and maybe go work for a living yourself

Honestly it doesn't make him a better person. I would still punch the guy in the teeth if I caught him. Like stealing tools. Youre not...
Megahudson
Just stealing tools you're stealing someone's ability to work. Which just turns into more theft for those who need tools to work.
techley
Yup. My psycho mother took my laptop and threatened to kill me one year while pursuing an engineering degree. I had to drop out
AnAdvancedCaseOfIdioticIdealism
That's fucked up. I hope you're ok and managed to get back to it (if that's what you really want(ed) to do)
StrangerActsOfKindness
That's horrible! How are you doing now? Hopefully better
techley
I'm doing okay, but never managed to finish the degree. Thank you for asking
ScarecrowSticks
Chromebook is like $137 but yeah a functioning laptop that's actually a laptop would cost a lot to replace
ChipperCorgi
$137 could mean "don't eat or don't make rent this week" for some folks
ReluktantSkeptik
I work in university IT. Chromebooks have a host of compatibility issues. They do not make a good alternative for college students.
ollikahn
yup. if you need fancy tablet to browse Internet with keypad - chromebook is ok. if any software needed — it's when the problems begins.
TexMexHex
Hah, upvoted.
SukhoiSuperjet
The guy is German, I don't think it was that much of a hassle to get a new laptop.
bluemagister
That's pretty racist.
buttdestroyer
Germans get free laptops?
SukhoiSuperjet
German students often have jobs, and they are in most cases eligible for government funding (Bafög)
SukhoiSuperjet
Out of curiosity, why is this post getting downvotes. Are you jealous you have to pay huge student loans?
buttdestroyer
I mean okay, but this is still a big assumption to make from a complete stranger.
BroBaggins
I mean I bought a Walmart Acer for like $160 and used that for 4 years.
ScarecrowSticks
The Aspire One series? That held on for 9 years, old-ass Vista
FinishingCarpentry
That pos thief still deserves a bat to the skull.
afred170
There’s a lot of people in this comment section who have never been hungry and it shows.
FinishingCarpentry
Lots of resources for that....stealing from someone? Not an excuse out there that justifies it.

You got the same response twice because you literally suggested killing that dude because he was hungry. Check your privilege
FinishingCarpentry
My privilege? You have no clue. Never said kill a thief, said there's no excuse. A bat to break a hand, hell yeah. Check your assumptions
FinishingCarpentry
I've been homeless. I've had to use food banks. I've stolen instead of asking for help and got my ass beat. And I deserved it. All do.
afred170
No they do not.

Same as you. I’ve been hungry. I’ve been in those shoes. I stole. I robbed. I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.
FinishingCarpentry
Make sure it's not any person who doesn't feel like you have the right to steal their belongings. Best wishes, hope things get better 4 you

Have to catch me first. That stupid left his laptop unguarded. Sounds like their own fault.
MadMupp
Ask to meet them and you'll give them the money value of the laptop instead, save them having to sell it. Then when you meet, stomp them.

I've been hungry, ive grown up where my mother didn't eat so we could, ive seen murders in my street. Ive never committed a crime ever.
afred170
Then you haven’t been hungry enough.

I've been hungry enough to work... thats how it works. I cleaned garages, gardens, washed neighbours cars for any money. But never broke the

Law. So why don't you stop trying to justify this nonsense and maybe go work for a living yourself
