I suppose that would be helpful for when the zombies come...

Today I learned that living on a tropical island really takes atoll.

[Title?] Move to Baton Rouge.

The first two look like a really good way to lose a very expensive house very fast.

I feel like I blew #6 up when I was playing Call of Duty at some point...

Some seem like possible flood victims... Glorious flood victims...

Yes. Yes I do.

1000 islands ftw

I live on Staten Island, does that count?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I do, the island of North, Central and South America.

A lot of these are near where I live, I've been to #6

Relatively certain one of those is the Lake Seiko or Kawaguchi house in the center. Near the Aokigahara forest

Everyone lives on an island

I believe that 4th pic is in the St Lawrence river. Also the world's shortest international bridge.

I have family living in the area and I went to school in Potsdam I think a few of these are in the 1000 Islands!

I don't understand why most of these buildings look like a medium fart would knock them over...

I kind of suspect it's to be easily/cheaply rebuilt in the event of storms or floods. Or because the island itself was expensive enough.

Is it impossible to live on an island *and* in a structurally sound house?

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I actually chuckled to this comment. Well done buddy. Only actual chuckle of the day my friend.

The insurance on these must be crazy

Well right now every house in louisiana is an island, but no one seems to appreciate it!

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

That's how I thought this was going to end...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

well, not every house, mine is pretty dry, for now.

Me on an island: "Come on over and party tonight! Bring some beers...like enough for a month."

This is a James Bond movie villian's home, I'm just sure of it. If not, it needs to be.

Want? Yes. Can afford? No.

It is my dream to win the lottery, and not one of those measly $1 million ones, and buy an island and make a tree house on it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

technically we all live on islands

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because fuck people.

Hell no, oceans are for sharks not fleshy tards like me.

I'd be way too worried if something happened to me while living on an island.. Makes getting help so much harder..

The area I live in recently flooded, I can't look at any of these pictures without some mild panic, haha

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd be worried my penis would fall off because of all the ass I would get.

Just die a happy man/woman.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too. I evaluated tsunami risk for each photo haha

I have that irrational fear of a storm suddenly appearing and wiping out the house.

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

I think if you live on an island that fear is definitely very rational.

Especially on those tiny sketchy ones

That's the spirit.

How would you get pizza to your house?

10 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 1

Send one of your workers to pick it up. And tell them they get fired if the pizza arrives cold. Muahhaaa

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've heard that in places like the Florida Keys some pizzerias are on the docks and can deliver to boats.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Deal breaker

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

that's the delivery guy's problem isn't it?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't think pizza delivery even exists in my country anyway so.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What country are you from?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Norway. In other words, even if pizza delivery *was* a thing here, it'd take hours to reach your door.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are plenty of places that deliver pizza in Norway. You must not live in a city.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

PIZZA DRONE!

Thank you for the business idea

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The insurance you would need would be astronomical.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Doesn't have to be in The USA.
