#13 This is indicative of certain types of people who are terminally online and learn through online communities the opposite truth of what happens in the real world and that is "He who cares most loses" or "the first person to care loses." I've known quite a few of these people and they are contrarians who take nothing seriously and treat it all with irreverence.

#9 the musical version implies they are/do. Theres a reprise where Madeline points out to Helen "im your person " for instance, echoing what Helen says to Ernest before they break up.

#9 Once they took the potion, they just fought to keep him around so he could maintain them

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Exactly. I hate these posts I've been seeing about the movie.. it's like nobody watched it. He was a mortician so he knew how to make dead bodies look alive. Neither of them *wanted* him. It's just what they were stuck with. The rest of the movie is them being moronic rich women thinking they deserve everything just because. The ending is the best part. That final scene.

#9 censoring a movie title because you're terrified of demonitization?

The internet could have been so cool, but capitalists ruined it, just like they ruin everything.

It's the word "death" not the title itself FYI. It's only something that happens now because people are extremely sensitive.. you'll have people acting like because they saw the word "death" suddenly they're "triggered" and thinking of suicide and such. Oh wait.. we can't say suicide anymore.. what was it.. uhh "self-terminating"..

#26 I used to work food services. there was one girl that, when she was up to her eyeballs with dealing with stupid customers, would slip into the walk in freezer and just scream as loud as she could then come back out feeling a lot better. it was cheaper than drugs and safer than homicide.

When I worked at a convenience store, the owner was a heavy smoker who never, ever didn’t have a lit cigarette.

Ever smell cigarette smoke in a small, closed, heavily refrigerated room? I’d rather meltdown in public, thanks.

I've done that

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you've never cryscreamed in a walk-in did you really work food service?

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My first job when I was 15 was at McDonalds, and during the sweltering summer. We obviously took to hiding in the freezer which felt immaculate in the heat. To the point that the managers started doing sweeps of the freezer to shoo us rats out and back to work. A fast food joint's walk in freezer is basically the on-base chapel safe space.

#13 its because we live in a society of grifters and gaslighters and mean girl buillies getting by on the effort and work of other people. when you call them on it, they try and turn it around on you about "how you made them feel" so everyone is walking on eggshells.

Women get treated like queens and told their men should do exactly that but they shouldn't have to give anything back whatsoever. It turns them into bullies very quickly. Every straight guy I know is depressed because every gf they get is just terrible to be around. The relationships become extremely one-sided and fragile.

Alongside all that, much of pop culture has convinced people that caring about stuff is lame and cringe.

Giving any little bit of effort turns you into a "try hard" somehow. Like if you're not just drifting through things you're some terrible person for putting in effort.

#28 this is funny because republican is THE party of white trash

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Ah, but you forget. There are plenty of white trash folks who aren’t Republicans.

Not in their souls

I refer to them as Bumpkins if they're not republican.
