Diver encounters a lot of sharks near Rainbow beach, Australia.
Edit: if you guys want them I have more videos of dive sites we have been to! Wasn't sure anyone would like them. They are all on my Facebook
https://www.facebook.com/Anothertraveller/
and Instagram pages as well https://www.instagram.com/justanothertravelpage/
Edit 2.0: I have had some messages about places to dive and travel, I am happy to help where I can so shoot me a message. If there is enough interest I will put a blog post on my website

Honestly, from the videos I've seen of shark divers, if I ever go in deep water, I'm bringing a shield with me.

Justanothertraveller
Yeah they were just swimming about really, no threat to anyone
thebridgejumper
As an Australian, you dipped your big toe in the water and didn’t immediately get eaten whole by Bruce the Great White Shark?
DarkUranium
How you guys survive out there, I've no idea.

All it's missing is crap running down the leg. Then it would be perfect (◠‿◕) I know they're misunderstood, but I like a healthy distance.

You say, tonnes of sharks to swim with, like that's a benefit. That's like saying LA has tonnes of junkies to have sex with.
Justanothertraveller
If you like sleeping with Junkies its a benefit
BigMuskie77
Lol! I mean, you're not wrong.
Roland191145
If you think about it, if you've ever been in any ocean, you have swam with sharks. Just a matter of proximity after that.
Justanothertraveller
This is true, most of the time you have no idea they are there. There are also things much worse than sharks in the water
Roland191145
Amen

Go on...

NoAlarmsAndNoSuprisesPlease
Cheers! I got it from Radiohead , the miss spelling of surprises wasn’t intentional, just brutal spelling on my behalf :) .
NoAlarmsAndNoSuprisesPlease
Amazingly in a world of user names , someone else has the correct spelling of mine, so I can’t change it ...

Grey nurse sharks?
Justanothertraveller
There were actually a few different types, there were a couple of leopard sharks but its hard to make them out
JetSkiJeff
Looks like sand tigers to me
numbat
We call them Grey Nurse Sharks here in Aus. They are GN Sharks which are an endangered species.
JetSkiJeff
Ahhh didn’t know that, thank you. We also call them ragged tooth shark here in the states. They are protected here as well.
valdemarjoergensen
To be fair, Grey Nurse shark is a pretty bad name as there is already sharks named nurse sharks that these aren't really closely related too
valdemarjoergensen
But then again, they aren't really closely related to "normal" tigers sharks either... Quite unfortunate naming actually.
valdemarjoergensen
Guess this is actually somewhat typical for Australian common names...
RealityInflicted
On that note, Hammer head sharks are not related to hammers.
