It's my birthday today, got home from work and just couldn't

Haven't really eaten in 10 days, still getting out of bed and going to work, but not okay

He's someone I've never really opened up to before, he's a much better friend then I'll ever admit.

Anxiety because sometimes for no reason even !!! Fork!

I started taking new medication for bipolar that changed my life. But you can still have bad days.

Also, eat! I hate thinking about food, preparing it etc. I wish we evolved not to need it but we do! A car with no gas or oil runs like shit

Anxiety is a bitch. Telling the raw elements of why we feel upset starts the process. Good luck.

Felt like I was reading about my day. Glad to know you have friends who support you. Good luck on getting the help you need.

When things get dark for me, I give this a watch. Even if you don't play it, the lyrics are key https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHh82rCnXeo

Had this for a few months my wife left instead of helping.

Referrals are fucking retarded. You don’t need an 8 yr degree to tell someone else to tell another doctor to see if they need to treat you

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Some heath insurance policy's require referrals if you want them to pay.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You get 10 free sessions in Australia if you have a referral

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You should also see a psychiatrist, unless that's what you meant.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Happy birthday! I hope there was at least something good happen to you today?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have access to mental health help through my job. I don't know why I don't contact them. I keep saying I forget, maybe I'm scared.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I did something similar today, but ended up causing a rift between me and said friend instead. Very blue penguin.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don’t suppose you’re in the UK ? If so I was given a way to get a much faster session with a counsellor than going through the NHS

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(As the waiting list for that was 4 months !)

Happy Birthay OP! Get out take a long drive in the back roads, take a hike in the trail, go feed birds

Hey! It’s a big step to reach out. Your GP should be able to help you too.

What am I missing here? What's a GP???

It is not a bad thing to ask for help when you realize you need it. Good on you for reaching out, and good on your friend for being there.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

If youre fat, 10 days fast is no trouble, if you arent, be careful. Lifes a gamble. Keep rolling. If you need someone to talk to, outside 1/

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Of the realms of the system, message me or get back, we all have ups downs and coping mechanisms, laughin is the best cure, i can help 2/

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

By being so unfunny, you can laugh at it, as the intent is well placed. Sympathy vote, maybe, who said what narcissist i was lol :) 3/

Bu know theres always positivity even in negativity quintessentialy mutualy exclusive a bad thing can lead you on to a good thing vice versa

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Count to 100, remember to breathe, fight negative feelings and thoughts ..and don't construct imaginary problems-situations - never give up!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Are you my girlfriend??

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Channel you anger, not obvious but possible. Ideas : gym, reading, meditation, cooking classes, meet new people ( meetup app) yoga, boxing.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Not sure why this was downvoted. This is genuine advice

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks, I used to love the gym and I've tried multiple times, can't seem to get the routine anymore, I don't know what I'm interested in

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To find a meetup, but I do love reading and I have two unread books, I'll start them today

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gym is boring for some, and that's ok. Just start something by little steps, interest will get in place with time. In other words...]

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

...] give yourself time.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good luck with that. The NHS don't give a fuck.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Been waiting 3 weeks for my link up with one from the nhs . I got a one bell from them and a recorded message when I ring back...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm in Australia, we get seen pretty quickly which is good

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know it feels like it won’t ever get better, but it will. You have the fight as hard as you can in the upswing. Drink a nutrition shake,

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Call off of work tomorrow if you can, and take some time for yourself. I’m proud of you for trying to get out of your head, you’ll be ok

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Birthdays suck when your mental health doesn’t work right. I once burst into tears when my mom started singing to me, had to leave the house

6 years ago | Likes 320 Dislikes 1

Once my family got the servers at Applebee's to do that happy birthday bs on me. I stood up and left shut my phone off and drove home. 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a shitty thing to do to someone with a anxiety disorder.....

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really hated my birthday when I was depressed, now I'm happy and I'm starting to like them, to treat myself good for once

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I just get upset because I can't even get ONE phone call from a family member or friend on my bday any more. Barely a text, either. :(

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Did she run after you after she's stopped singing or right away?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This is true. I didn't celebrate my bday last year and won't do it this year as well. No one to celebrate it for but husband and kid

6 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 4

25 yo and celebeated last time when i was 12/13 (at 18 just went with 3 friends qt the disco)

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those are some very important someones...

6 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

Indeed they are and I can't even describe with words how much they mean to me. I would be long gone if they weren't here

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Same. Im turning 40 this year so ignoring it. The only person that would care would be my daughter but I'm not going to tell her.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I make a point to celebrate mine and my husbands birthdays. I don’t want my daughter to think life is all work and bills.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow, don't be so dismissive about your husband and child. They're two very important people in your life.

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

I am not dismissive, what the hell. I live with them and of course I'm spending my bday with them, just not celebrating (big difference)

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The way you said it made it sound like you don't give a fuck.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's ok, now you know it is not like that (: Limited characters and my poor choice of words probably made it sound weird

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My wife tends to get real angry around her birthday. She's not happy about getting older even though her life is going great...

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Eh, it's a weird female thing. Every year I just look at myself and see my youth completely faded into...the nothing I am.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Its not just a female thing, my Dad is like that too

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's pretty much it. "I've done nothing with my life" ... kind of makes me feel like shit since I thought we were doing good.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Well, my advice is to try not to take it too personally, unless it's a CONSTANT issue betw you two.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I don't take it too personal but always encourage her to do those things she needs to do.
