PSA: clean your lint traps

Found this in our dryer that was having trouble doing its only function.

A married couple (man and woman) lived here before us. Didn't know adults exist that don't clean their lint traps.

Safety tip: pull the front panel off the dryer and see if the interior needs to be cleaned and also try and run a broom handle thru the vent

You don't change it after every load? I though everyone did that?

We do that, but the owners of the property did not at all. This is what we found when we did our first dryer load.

No it was checked in the first cycle.

Just what i was thinking. I clean it before i ever start the dryer. Every time!!

It might be a rental property, where they were called out to fix the dryer problem by the tenants
