You get fined for not getting your name marked of the roll. Once you do that you can either vote or just walk out they cant do anything.

The law says you have to go to your polling place on election day and turn in a ballot. That's it.

You can 'donkey vote' which is basically showing up and not filling in the boxes, but you legally have to show up.
