I am a regular here at imgur, but for privacy I opened this account. I started chemo yesterday and all thou I have not been feeling particularly shitty, it's no candy and flowers either.
Kind of chemo. Blurred out the personal data, social security number in specific
I plan on documenting all my experience and releasing it for people who'll experience the same, so that they'll know better, you know "pictures are worth a 1000 words".
EDIT: Also if you are going through something similar and have any questions I will gladly help. Or if you want to share your story with me, I will more than gladly read it.
If you have any question on the process, how it happened. How it is in my country. What I should be expecting. ETC.... Don't hesitate.
FP edit:
Thanks for all the support. I will keep you updated as much as possible.
Mandatory FP nudes request.
For people asking is testicular cancer. I went to the hospital with a pain in my left ball, after the doctors checked it, they decide to remove it as it was a tumor. Afterwards the biopsy came positive. No metastasis. Stage 1 testicular cancer.. 99% survival rate.
Pre chemo 3 update: the place where I get the treatment has no internet/cell reception. So I will update later in the afternoon, hopefully not feeling to shitty.
Also today I woke up feeling numb in the brain. Everything seems lo be going at slow motion.

You got this!

I'm a nurse, chemo pts are some of the strongest people I encounter. I don't know if I could do it. You will do awesome!

Be great, Heisenberg Jr. We're all counting on you!
UptightCargo
Godspeed, friend! Remain strong and know we're behind you!

Chemo isn't a thing about candy and flowers, it reminds you about how hard the life is but, at the same time, show you how strong you are.
ThomasHate
What kind they have you on? I did 9 weeks back in April. Bleomisin, Sisplatin and Etopacide. Stay strong and don't eat your favorite foods.
thatticowithcancer
BEP it's 6 weeks. 14 sessions total.
hachi111
As a cancer survivor myself, I know how much it sucks. My bit of advice, stay strong friend and try not to oggle the nurses too much.
DankVoodoo
What issues lead to the diagnosis? I ask because I had some blood work come back which has lead to further testing, results pending.

My mom beat stage four cancer twice! You can do it man!
AManWhoWasntThere

Good luck! Remember that cancer these days is no longer a death sentence! Ain't a stroll through the park but you can make it!!!
mkumar118
take lots of alkaline stuff and cut all the sugar and acidic stuff from your diet. we made my mom do it when she was going thru hers.

The worst part of chemo is the after taste so when getting pumped, bring some sour suckers to get rid of the metallic taste. Also shave 1/2
iHateCat
Ur head on your own will before it falls. It’s better that way, trust me.
DerangedMaango
Kick that fucking fuck-face, cancer, in its fucking face.
byronshell
I had chemo a few years ago but I had a port installed due to the mega dose. It gets worse as you go so rest up and don’t overdo it.

Bummer. Sending love and light and healing.

Having had plenty of family members having go through it, remember to drink regularly. Tea is a wonderful thing. Learn to like green tea.
jkwi
staying hydrated is important to protect your kidneys, green tea does have beneficial against lymphoma(?) but you'd have to drink a tanker
TheWickerBoy
Discuss this wnth your doctor. Some chemo's don't work when drinking tea

Are you doing radiation too? I went through both last year.
thatticowithcancer
Only Chemo. We caught it early on.
SeasonCat
That's good. Radiation sucks.
jkwi
any advice?
SeasonCat
Keep positive. Make sure to follow all instructions. And above all: EAT...even if you've no appetite.

Mom found lump. Doc said no chemo, only radiation. 1.1 cm in diameter. Surgery successful. Does radiograph. Doc finds more. Doc says chemo.
TheCrazySucculentLady
Doc in trouble because during surgery somehow he split it in half during the removal and it told the cells to regenerate elsewhere.
TheCrazySucculentLady
So if you have questions I can also help.
