Looking forward to this by tonight here in mid-Michigan. I feel sorry for you folks in Canada closer to the fires.

I'm in Central NY, and we've got haze that's giving everything a yellowish cast to it. Sort of "cloudy with a chance of Armageddon".

Please be safe out there!

My town is surrounded by orange smoke right now, it's getting hard to breathe but they still expect me to work.

As a business owner this is incredibly stupid of them, we live in SoCal so fires happen with some frequency. I always give my EEs the option to not go where there's smoke if they don't feel comfortable and I always provide PPE (N95 masks).

Cant let something so trivial as your health and well-being get it the way of profit

Where in Ontario? I'm down in Waterloo and it's just terrible haze (we're currently listed as the world's most polluted city)

ah, yeah you're way closer to the fires. You are currently the world's 3rd most polluted city (Waterloo was #1 a couple of hours ago, now 12th)

Are you in Ontario? The smoke map down into the USA is also quite large but I don't know that the visible ash is making it that far.

So this is why my sky was orange today in upstate NY

Im in a dark red area and theres no haze, but one of my coworkers was having respiratory problems from it a few days ago

Sky isn't a bit less blue than normal? I've seen it when it was so gray you thought it was rain clouds.

Update: VERY hazy today

Rn it does look kinda hazy, but when i made that first comment it looked pretty clear up there
