Why I always ask prior and usually only ask family, friends, and people from church. Though as an asexual I kind of think it is silly (1)
people think hugs are perverted... They give such good, wholesome feelings that most people need them when feeling down. (2)
I don’t think hugs are prevented. I’d just rather not have your body squished into my face when I just met you. I’m short and it’s awkward.
