10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Lots of people want to be fit thus they upvote fitness

These are the 5 things that I disagree with this post or otherwise feel could be corrected.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

-Potatoes can be a healthy source of carbs, vitamins, and minerals if prepared in a healthy way and if following CICO.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

-Diet: “eat more calories than you consume”. I get what you're trying to say but it needs to be fixed.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

-Exercise: Taking more than 2 minutes might be necessary between heavy sets.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

-Counting Calories: Intermittent fasting won't lead to muscle cannabalization. That process takes days if not weeks of not eating to occur.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Otherwise, a good deal of good info. Nice job.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

-Exercise: A good program does not require heavy weights with low repetitions because that does not work for everyone's needs and goals.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A good program is one that a person can both stick to and make consistent progress.

Are there any good exercises you can do if you're too fat for dips/chin-ups/squats (basically supporting yourself with your arms) ?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Scratch squats, i mean L-sits (sry english exercise terminology is confusing)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You could do negatives, which means you start on top and let yourself down as slow as possible

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Bench dips or close grip bench can replace dips.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Water. You are looking for low impact activities, and swimming has almost no impact on joints and is good cardio. Just be in the water

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a bicycle ergometer for cardio, havent had joint problems yet (although i kinda tend to sit off my genitofemoral nerve)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never be afraid of squatting, I started out at 110kg bodyweight, struggling with 40kg on the bar. After a couple of months I train with...

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

120+ kg on the bar. Just make sure you Focus on correct form, and Take off-days if you feel pain in shoulders/back. Stay safe, use a spotter

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I kinda mixed up two words, I can do squats, that's no problem

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right on, brother!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Generally there are machines that can assist, if those aren't available start with a lat pull down in place of pull ups.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

tyvm i will look into this

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

All the exercises with your own body way are your option. 1) Knee assisted push-ups 2) Deep squats, but never go all in from the start 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3) Jumping jacks, but be careful with your knees 4) Focus on cardio exercises to lose weight effectively 5) If you want to do some weights..

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

then machines are your best choice. They assist you a lot and save you from joint injuries. Golden rule - never rush, focus on form

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*body weight. Damn you auto-correct!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Use machines, they work independent of your weight.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Intermittent Fasting is an incredible tool in your box of weight loss tools. Theres quite a bit of proven research behind fasting.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Do you happen to have any material you could link me to?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ya bud, let me see what I can get together for you bud. Give me a couple of days I will shoot you a PM.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd be interested in this as well.

Next time learn the basics of posting readable text.

10 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 17

Can read it just fine...

10 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 6

I can read it perfectly on my phone.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Y'all get off your damn phones and exercised you wouldn't need to read this post anyways!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same post was on FP two days ago and just as unreadable then as now.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

The text is perfectly readable on appropriately sized screens. Not all content is made for phones.

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 4

I can see it perfectly fine on mobile.. I thought the comments were from PC users

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

"Appropriately sized"? Oh so we're just second class Imigiruans to you, are we? Check your PC privilege.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 6

No.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

In this time frame, it should be. That's basic to web content now.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It looks fine on my Android. Blame Imgur or Apple. Not whoever made the image.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not particularly blaming anyone. Just making an observation.

I've been doing this type of thing for 12 weeks now, from 78-68 kg with a lot more muscle than i started with :D

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait so you do the workout he listed? The aba bab one? Where do you do it, gym or home? I wanna srart workin out

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'd recommend you to start with Stronglifts 5x5. It's almost the same routine. Google it and you'll find the website and app, 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Which provide a good schedule and tons of information about proper form and such.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Make sure you build up the discipline for consistency first, doesn't matter what your doing just yet, just do it

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Overall a good guide, but I have to disagree with the "less processed food = better". Processing doesn't turn food into poison. (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

It just makes it harder to judge what's in it, and requires reading the label. But I agree that processed food is often calorically denser.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It adds a lot of salt, most of the time, as well as things like HF Corn Syrup, which is worse for you than other sugars. Source:

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's also worth pointing out that a lot of "sugar free" or "fat free" items are *way* worse for you than the full fat version, because fats

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and sugars are the backbone of flavor. Without those, things are tasteless - and you have to add artificial flavors to make them palatable.
