Call of Duty was released in 2003 and was one of the first games to popularize and implement ADS (aiming down sights)

Me and the same crew of 8 have been playing since 2003. Some are dead...their accounts still pop up. :(

BF42 rocked as well. I spent thousands of hours getting my ass handed to me in game.

Wasn’t this is world war 2 as well?

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yup. It was in CoD, CoD: UO, CoD 2, CoD: WWII and part of the map was in BO 3.

You don't snipe in Carentan

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i did

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We ran the '[NaG] Carentan Rifle/Sniper Only 24h'-Server. It was ranked 6th on gametracker for a while. So you DO snipe in Carentan.

{ØØ}3m4n or {bl!ndshot}e-man was my in-game name. Yours?

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The audio was fucking awesome as well. You could hear footsteps and if you didnt listen, all the rain would drown people out

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Don't forget the mounted machine gun in the south building corner building (the one with SOZE poster outside)

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Still playing it ;)

This game (and map) were AMAZING!

I met my husband on this game. 13 years later (3 years of them married) and an 18 month old. All thanks to this. <3

So many hours in this game...

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

holy fucking shit.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can still hear the sound of that fucking MG42

7 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Trick was to constantly relocate. If you kill someone once or twice they suddenly make it their life goal to kill you. Same with snipers.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So can my grandfather.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not really. He was an aircraft mechanic in WW2.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is where it all started for me. Joined a clan endless friendships made.

I nicknamed "your mom" so it said "You were killed by your mom" when I killed you. Comedy gold...

Your name, I have so many questions...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The COD WWII on Xbox...it’s great, just doesn’t feel the same though. I could play that all day on night. Now a few rounds and I’m done.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ye, you are that guy that we had good relations with his mother. We always had someone guard the stairs.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The best! Also that expansion pack. Fuck. So damn good. Tough as nails too :)

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

United offensive!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The expansion was great. And they were like hey, plant the LMG. Nobody can carry one and fire, silly noob.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I play this now in vr

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Game's name is Pavlov vr

Band of Brothers shit right there. Down to the piano in the street.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2003 for aiming with sights? Seems late. But I checked a few game titles and they were released later. So yeah, 2003 apparantly.

Loved the invisible room in tht middle building. Trolled ppl hard

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Fucking nade rain at the begining - EVERY TIME.

7 years ago | Likes 332 Dislikes 1

I loved the "prime grenade" feature that came out later. I would suicide bomb the enemy team's spawn.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It's funny how a lot of WW2 urban/indoor combat basically was that, tossing grenades for days.

7 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

It's what grenades were made for, indiscriminate clearing of confined spaces.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ain't broke, don't fix it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEN3tF2P7bk&t=2m25s

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Use ‘em before you die and lose ‘em. Only to respawn with 1-2 more.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Not much has changed even since then in that regard

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Love the map (then brecourt)

7 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Oh brecourt was my favorite. Even liked the campaign mission of it.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Then play expansion maps with the tanks. Didn’t like it at first, but it was still some of the best tank and soldier integrated play.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The kill streaks kinda got annoying though.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My very first thought.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Similar map in Day Of Defeat. Fucking brilliant. Hours upon hours of fun.

7 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 2

Yeah, from the pic only, I thought it was DoD OP was reminiscing over.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Love day of defeat. DOD: GO or something like it, would be nice.
