When I worked for a school for a few years there was this toilet behind the music room that happened to be way away from good access. As they turned the old kitchen and area near into storage. It was the most private work toilet I ever had access too. They turned the storage into a medical space and shower for kids with rough home lives that needed it. Lost the quiet toilet but at least it was for good reasons.
I actually think it's fine for a boss position to make 10x the money of a lower postion AND it's fine for the lower paid workers to poop on company time. It's sickening how far away we've gone from that today.
Yeah. That’s great and all. But be mindful of what company you hit. I work for the electric utilities and our entire fleet at one shop got hit over the weekend. Then a summer storm rolled in and half the trucks were still in the shop and we couldn’t restore power for two weeks.
Indeed. Is there a concise term for something that is *de jure* illegal, but due to discretion/patterns/bias of police/prosecutors/judges is effectively legal?
To me, those would imply a problem with the law-as-written. I'm thinking more of when the law itself is quite clear, but the legal system that's supposed to enforce said law instead does not.

Open up that one door, it’s actually a two bedroom apartment with a bathroom! Charlie just doesn’t like all the space

Now the boss makes a million and gives us a cent, while he's got employees who can't pay the rent.

Boss has a snit, fires you like a louse? Gather round, bring a torch, let's burn down his house.

And in court there will be rumination, regarding unlawful termination
3Davideo
I'm pretty sure that would be unlawful retaliation, but getting someone willing to prosecute & able to get the charges to stick would be tricky...
pretengineer
In an "at will" state the burden of proving that would fall on you and be basically impossible due to 🌟plausible deniability🌟
