prior to the genocide, Gaza was the most densely populated place on earth. Israel hasn't just perpetrated genocide against the living. They are seeking to wipe out Palestinian culture and history as well. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Destruction_of_cultural_heritage_during_the_Israeli_invasion_of_the_Gaza_Strip

Nazis

If that were done to the united states it would be the same as killing 57 million people.

I emailed the study author and received the response below. TLDR please read studies, check sources and/or confirm with the author before spreading false information.

I can't find that number of 377,000 anywhere in the study linked by the above article. Can someone point me towards where that figure is determined?

The study itself just seems to be an analysis of the 5 aid distribution points and how they aren't designed to be safe spots to receive aid.

"Harvard-linked" is a really scummy way to portray this. The source it links to 'skwawkbox' straight up calls it a "A new report by Harvard University" which is certainly false. This was someone uploading a dataset to a website Harvard provides for academic data publishing. Literally anyone can put anything up there. The author of this was Yaakov Garb Associate Professor, Ben Gurion University.

I make no claim against the data itself. The genocide is real, but this news may be fake.

No wonder Trump is mad at Harvard.

Ah, that's why Trump has been attacking Harvard.

Because the people that need to hear it will tune it out as soon as they hear the word 'Harvard'.

Or “genocide” or “Gaza.”

And still the news media will tell us how this isn't a genocide.

Fuck I can't roll my eyes hard enough!

It's only genocide when it's done to white people. When brown people are exterminated it's sparkling ethnic cleansing. /s

"Maybe they got lost way down in the couch cushions? Let's not call it a genocide until we looked in there!"

They aren't missing; just dead and rotting underneath the rubble thanks to Israeli bombs and tanks.

In a warzone like this we can hope some of them are just not accounted for, its very likely. Yet a lot wont be alive for certain, the numbers don't match up anywhere.

Again, guys... this is a message of hope. I'm not fond of just writing everyone missing off as dead, thats pretty fucked IMHO. Of COURSE its a large amount, way more than Israels position on it (they say what 50k, nah). Yet these things I wrote, they are true and they are real.

This is about Voice of America, which has been gutted by the Trump administration for the last several months. VoA was actually a really great organization, and was the only source of real news (thanks to radio) in countries like North Korea, Russia, dand indeed, Iran. It's the closest they can get to PBS or NPR. https://www.npr.org/2025/06/21/nx-s1-5440577/voice-">ari-lake">https://www.npr.org/2025/06/21/nx-s1-5440577/voice-of-america-radio-free-europe-prison-voa-reporters-visas-abroad-kari-lake https://www.axios.com/2025/06/24/voa-s-iran-mess-media-trends

Dog you're gonna have to provide some legitimate source.

It’s more a theory based on the large number of Indigenous children that mysteriously go missing and the stories from the children who survive. Idk I’m probably going to just delete the comment as I am not well and am likely explaining poorly. Sorry for the trouble.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Well I hope to all that is good that your theory is totally wrong.

But also I know human trafficking including children happens all over the world.

I suppose murdering them and burying them in mass graves or burning the bodies could be defined as "disappeared".

Its a list of people missing.

When you gotta downvote something as basic as this, a simple truth. When it appears this is against your message, or the narrative or something else. You've lost the plot. I am just describing what a thing is.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 10

The report clearly seems to indicate that the author of the report believes that 60k are confirmed dead and that a substantial amount of those not accounted for are also dead. To call it a list of missing persons misconstrues the list, seemingly intentionally. I think that's why the downvotes.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

You just repeated what I said. Thats what I said. Thats what a list of people missing is, not all are dead but the majority most likely.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Your original statement "Its a list of people missing." is not inaccurate, in the same that saying 9/11 "involved a couple of crashed planes" would also not be inaccurate. Removing the context softens the implications. Giving graphic detail hardens the implications. Both are spin. I get wanting to objectively describe something without spin one way or the other, but assuming that was your good faith goal, I think you missed on the "soft spin" side.
