I love their grace and fluid motion. It's captivating!

I have NEVER seen cows jump fences. A mere hypothesis never even existed in my database...

They look like Banteng, (wild cattle, not domesticated). Maybe that explains their agility

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

It's an indian gaur. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaur

That’s actually impressive

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Poise and grace.

Most fences can't really 'stop' cattle, they are just too placid to worry about going through the fence and stop as its a barrier to them.

5 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

I bet they're jumping over cause the grass is greener...

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

That last one is an absolute unit

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

next thing you know, they'll be jumping over the moon.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

what kind of cows are they?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thought the big one at the end was going to walk through and knock over the rails. Probably thought the others hope to do it.

Looks like there is a fence/webbing

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's an indian gaur probably near Ooty. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaur

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I kept expecting one of those to fail

5 years ago | Likes 514 Dislikes 1

Did you not see the fence?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That would be an udder disaster

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That's bull.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Same, though I’m pleased they didn’t

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Especially chonko the last

5 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

OH LAWD THEY HOPPIN’!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Graceful.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Surprisingly strong and agile.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Actual free range cattle are way more athletic than you'd suppose. fences are often only a weak suggestion to them, especially if food (1)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is involved. Not to mention the maternal instincts that'll turn them feisty if you hurt a calf. Source: Have helped local rancher.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

when the biggest one is the most graceful

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There was a sixth cow, but it jumped over the moon

5 years ago | Likes 85 Dislikes 1

Aww, cute.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These aren't cows. It's a completely different breed called Mithun.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I realize that, but it doesn't fit very well into a nursery rhyme

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

France has to be different. Everyone else eats chicken, they eat frog. Everyone else counts sheep, they count cows.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I thought this was in India for some reason.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Because it is.. these are called "Gaur".. adult one weights up to 1500 kilos.. tiger's favorite..

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah, but you're making the assumption they can count.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I would like to understand how people know it's from France.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

only now do i realize that says fence and not france

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

@OP are these banteng? What kind of bovine are these?

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Indian Bison, aka "Gaur". https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaur

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was my first instinct, but I have a hard time telling them apart. How do you tell the difference with the cows?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

major give away is Gaurs are bright white below the knee and brown/black above. very distinct..

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It looks like banteng can have that coloring too, unless the internet is being an ass and showing me the wrong thing.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

they ar close relatives, geographically separated. Gaurs are darker shades as well.Banteng hve big white patch on their rump which Gaurs don'

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks for answering my questions

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If that was a barbed wire fence, this would be udder destruction.

5 years ago | Likes 588 Dislikes 5

Ballsy thing to say.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Having grown up on a cattle farm, can confirm. It's a hell of job for a vet to fix, too

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yeah it's basically going through a shredder at that point

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ugggh. So gross. Must upvote.

5 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

That pun has been milked dry

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seen deer nuts wrapped around barbed wire before.

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Oh. Well, that is an awful thing I had never thought of. Thanks!

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Does that count as a Darwin Award?

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I mean Darwin Award is for doing something stupid on purpose. Bet they dont know the danger of barbed wire. Just another obstacle to them?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

TIL Darwin awards are for when someone does something stupid that removes them from the gene pool. Not just "doing something stupid".

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"On purpose" was the key there. Cuz the award, as I've seen it, is for ppl purposefully doing dumb shit typically. Its whatever tho

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

If they bled out and died, which is pretty possible... Then, yes.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

You don't have to die to Darwin. Removed from the gene pool is the only stipulation - sterilization (incl removed balls) counts! lol

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

However, despite some opinions to the contrary, you can have already reproduced children and still be eligible to win a Darwin award

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Really?! Shit, I guess that makes since. TIL
