Sony's Walkman MP3 player so you could listen to the music you downloaded from Napster.
I always wanted the Minidisc player because it was more portable than CD players but held more music than the paltry 128mb my MP3 player held.

That isn’t a mini disk player, however. It’s an SD card player. I have a mini disk professional recorder and I can post a pic of one.

New OS onto it. They wouldn’t supply drivers, you had to use recovery CDs which formatted with win98 and filled 40% of the HD with bloatware

I just got my old minidisc player out last night lol. Still works fine. It was nice that it ran forever on one AA.

That’s not a minidisc player, just a regular MP3 player using a Sony proprietary memory card. We just mentioned MD because we like them.

Very few albums have been released in this format.
There are some (I have 5), but it starts to be expensive.

Don’t forget MD was shockproof. I think it had something to do with the way it buffered the music. But nothing made it skip!

Oh I would've loved that. I had an off-brand cd player attached to my car's cassette deck with a cassette adapter and it skipped every bump

I do not miss tape deck adapters. When they would start to die and you would have to wiggle the wire for a minute after you started your car
