Between trolls and bots, most every post gets a handful of downvotes right out of the gate (and many posts get all their comments downvoted as well), regardless of content. I wouldn't take it personally or indicative of any specific demographic (aside from "generic assholes and trolls"), as these downvotes tend to get washed out over time as real people come across them.
